According on their level, participants learn to launch and land from a dock, proper tacking and gibing, correct body positions, how to read the wind and the names of the different sail positions.

SWIMMING
On a daily basis, all campers are invited to participate in a variety of swimming activities, including water polo, flutterboard races, and water aerobics. Qualified lifeguards ensure that safety is always a priority. At the same time, staff are dedicated to developing confidence among campers, while promoting an appreciation for water.

WINDSURFING/WINDSAILING

Catch the right wind and you are on your way to a successful day of windsurfing! What a rush as you breeze by others, controlling your own destination! Swallowdale provides a variety of boards and sails for our campers. On-land simulations assist in instruction. Campers learn how to set up the board and sail, proper stance, reading wind direction,  as well as tacking and sailing techniques for going up and down wind.
