For campers who also enjoy the Arts, Swallowdale Camp offers a variety of activities to stimulate the mind, as well as the body. Nature is the inspiration as students learn arts, crafts, woodworking or dance.

ARTS AND CRAFTS Creativity runs wild in the arts and crafts room at Swallowdale Camp. From paper maché and painting, to tie-dying and beadwork, the arts programme allows each camper to use their imagination, allowing nature to be their guide   GUITAR (introductory) There is nothing like sitting around a campfire and singing songs while accompanied by a guitar.  Now available for beginner level musicians...why not learn the basics of playing a guitar?  Campers can learn the first chords and some simple songs.  Music is a gift that lasts a lifetime.     WOODWORKING Start with a simple, boring piece of wood and end up with a creative, personally designed masterpiece! Our woodworking programme teaches students of all ages how to use basic hand tools, while following proper procedures and safety precautions. Our skilled instructors guide campers in their completion of various projects including: treasure boxes, pencil holders, CD containers, and carvings.
