This ancient sport is very popular with
today's camper. Lessons focus on developing
proper stance, technique, and safety. Enthusiastic
instructors provide campers with incentives
to improve their skills, and staff applaud
each camper in their efforts and achievements. |

| BASEBALL |

Campers learn the basic skills
of throwing and catching as well as advanced
techniques in batting and fielding. This quintessential
North American game is the ideal summer camp
sport. |

Students learn ball handling,
shooting techniques, lay ups, and team play.
Lessons to enhance skill levels are followed
by friendly competitions. |

| Campers at Swallowdale learn
to master specific skills and work together
in all levels of the various field sports
such as soccer, Frisbee
golf, Ultimate and volleyball. Campers learn proper stretching
methods and participate in intra-camp tournaments
or friendly inter-camp competitions. All participants
learn valuable sportsmanship and teamwork
skills. At the same time, campers come to
realize that competition is not the only aspect
of sports. |

alive at Swallowdale with basic introduction
to some of the more popular disciplines. |

MOUNTAIN BIKING |

Strap on your helmet and jump on your bike!
Enjoy the view as you venture to various
places in
and around the camp. Swallowdale Camp provides
bikes of various sizes and safety helmets
are worn at all times. Campers learn
basic bike maintenance, techniques for ascending
and descending inclines, managing different
terrain, as well as advice on correct shifting. |

| TENNIS |

Two outdoor tennis courts are available
for all levels of instruction or leisure games.
Each tennis lesson is designed to concentrate
on specific skills, but also allows time for
rallying and friendly competition. Serious
players are encouraged to bring tennis racquets
from home. |
