5 Activities daily...water sports...land sports...and more u
At Swallowdale, we believe that campers should experience as many different camp activities as possible.  Yet at the same time there should be a progression toward mastering new skills.   Each week, students sign up for 5 daily activities from a wide range of water sports, land sports and special interest activities.  Activities offered reflects traditional camping ideals, which stress the importance of sport activity, the wilderness experience and ecological awareness. Each activity lasts one hour daily, and because students practise their activity choices in 1 week blocks, they build on the skills they learn each day.   All activities are instructed and fully supervised by qualified staff.

ESL u
Students who registered for ESL (English as a Second Language)  will spend 2 consecutive activity periods in this class.  They have the 3 remaining periods to select other camp activities.

Swimming u
As much of the activity programme focuses on the waterfront, a general lake swim is offered daily following the last activity period.  Certified lifeguards are on duty during all water activities.

Campfires, skits, talent shows...and more u
Our evening programme brings to life the many traditions held dear to camping.  We offer campfires, cook-outs, games such as Capture the Flag, skit nights, talent shows and sport competitions.   We teach campers the importance of team spirit, sharing and friendly competition, as well as the intricate knowledge of how to make a perfect s'more.

“I had a very relaxing time at Swallowdale.  It was fun… I met some new friends.  One of the best times I had was in the Barracuda Swim across the lake.” Joan (Age 16 - Spain)
