Leaders-In-Training Programme
4 or 3 week programme available to students aged 16 years only.
Hands-on experience and knowledge about:

  • leading camp programmes
  • developing self awareness
  • team work
  • communication
  • Canadian Red Cross® Standard First Aid certification
L.I.T. PROGRAMME DATES 2010
         July 04 - July 24  (3 week programme)
         July 25 - August 14 (3 week programme)

      (participants must commit to the L.I.T. programme for the entire 3 week duration)

TRAINING Components:

L.I.T.'s train with various staff in the following areas of the camp programme:

  • Creating and implementing games, activities and events
  • Planning and participating in their own programmes – overnights, evening programmes, special theme days and activities
  • Involvement and participation in activities centred around personal reflection and discovery, community building within the group, understanding of leadership styles, transition from camper to staff, and competency in various programme areas of the camp
  • Involvement in counselling opportunities and placements within the camp structure
  • Opportunities for goal setting, evaluating personal leadership styles and improving leadership and organizational skills
